Welcome to the Matched Betting Tracker guide! This guide will walk you through the main features of the app and how to use them effectively to manage your matched betting activities.

Managing Accounts

Keeping track of your funds across different bookmakers and exchanges is crucial. Here's how the app helps:

• Adding Accounts: Navigate to the 'Accounts' tab and tap the '+' button. Choose whether you're adding a 'Bookmaker' or an 'Exchange'. Give it a name (e.g., "Bet365", "Smarkets") and enter the starting balance.
• Viewing Balances: The Accounts screen provides an overview of all your accounts and their current balances.
• Transactions: Tap on an account to see its transaction history. Transactions are automatically created when you settle bets linked to the account. You can also add manual transactions (like Deposits or Withdrawals) using the '+' button on the account detail screen.

Accurate account management ensures you always know your overall financial position.

Using the Calculator

The built-in calculator is your primary tool for working out lay stakes and potential profit/loss before placing your bets.

• Accessing: Find the calculator on its dedicated tab.
• Selecting Bet Type: Choose the correct type from the dropdown (Qualifying, Free Bet SNR, etc.). This is essential as it changes the underlying calculation.
• Input Fields: Enter your Back Stake, Back Odds, Lay Odds, and Lay Commission (as a percentage, e.g., '2' for 2%).
• Money Back Bets: If using a Money Back type, additional fields will appear to enter the cashback amount or the free bet value and estimated return percentage.
• Results: The calculator instantly shows the optimal Lay Stake, the required Exchange Liability, and the potential Profit/Loss whether the back bet wins or the lay bet wins.
• Manual Overrides: You can manually override the calculated Lay Stake or Liability if needed, and the profit/loss figures will update accordingly.

Use the calculator for every matched bet to ensure accuracy and minimise errors.

Logging Bets

Once you've used the calculator and placed your bets, log them in the app:

• Adding Bets: Go to the 'Bets' tab and tap '+'.
• Using Calculator Data: You can often pre-fill the bet log directly from the calculator results for convenience.
• Key Details: Enter the event details/notes, select the Bookmaker and Exchange accounts used, and confirm the stakes, odds, commission, liability, and calculated profit/loss figures.
• Bet Status: Bets start as 'Pending' by default.
• Event Date/Time: Record when the event takes place.

Logging every bet creates a complete history and allows for accurate profit tracking.

Settling Bets & Adjustments

After the event finishes, update the bet's status:

• Finding the Bet: Locate the bet in the 'Pending' list on the 'Bets' tab.
• Settlement Options: Tap the bet and select 'Settle'. Choose the outcome: 'Settled - Back Won', 'Settled - Lay Won', or 'Settled - Void'.
• Automatic Updates: The app calculates the actual profit/loss based on the outcome and automatically updates the balances of the linked accounts with the relevant transactions.
• Profit Adjustment: If needed, you can tap on a settled bet, go to its details, and manually edit the 'Actual Profit/Loss'. This creates an 'Adjustment' transaction.

Settling bets promptly keeps your account balances and overall profit figures up-to-date.

Managing Freebies

Track bonuses, free bets, free spins, and other offers:

• Adding Freebies: Go to the 'Freebies' tab and tap '+'. Enter a name, select the type (Free Bet, Free Spins, Other), the account it's associated with, and optionally an expiry date.
• Statuses: Freebies move through statuses: 'Not Started' -> 'Pending' (when linked to a qualifying bet) -> 'Available' (when qualifying bet settles) -> 'Used' (when linked to a consuming bet or marked manually) / 'Expired'.
• Linking to Bets (Generating): When logging a Qualifying Bet, you can link existing 'Not Started' freebies that this bet will unlock. Their status changes to 'Pending'.
• Linking to Bets (Consuming): When logging an SNR or SR Free Bet, you can link an 'Available' freebie that you are using for the stake. Its status changes to 'Used'.
• Manual Status Changes: You can manually change the status of freebies (e.g., mark as 'Used' or 'Expired') from the Freebies list.

Proper freebie management ensures you don't miss out on valuable offers.
